DIY - Shop, Save & Earn

It may seem strange that I am encouraging you to do this yourself – shop, save and earn. However, the sad truth is that many people would rather pay someone to provide them with a particular product or service when they could get it for themselves and earn some money while doing it. Let me show you how.

Shop, Save & Earn.

How many of you travel? Whether you fly occasionally or frequently, spend a week at a resort, or book a Caribbean Cruise, in most cases you call a travel agent (not knocking them because I sell travel too) or you go to an online travel store – Travelocity, Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc. and you book. Right away you pay someone else for doing something that you can do on your own and get paid for it. Did you know that you can book your travel from any of the same online stores above and earn some money back? Sure you can. Follow this link, sign up for free, book your travel and earn.

Shop, Save & Earn.

How many of you visit a cell phone store and pay for new or renewed service? How many of you lose a phone and pay for another without saving anything? Now you can buy a phone from yourself, buy cell phone service from yourself, renew or upgrade cell phone service from yourself and YOU earn. Check it out. Sign up for free, complete your cell phone related transaction and earn.

Shop, Save & Earn.

Cell phone service is not the only service that you can buy from yourself. Did you know that you can buy the following services from yourself - digital television, VOIP, high speed internet and identity theft protection? You sure can. Visit the Blastoff Network, sign up for free, buy from yourself and earn. It is that simple.

Shop, Save & Earn.

Do you think that is all? No, there is much more. There are many other products that you buy from someone else and pay them when you should be paying yourself. You buy: books, movies, DVDs, vitamins, toys, jewelry, electronics, clothes, video games, flowers, etc. from someone else. Start buying from yourself. Go now. It is FREE to start and it will not cost you more than you spend to buy stuff that you want.

Shop, Save & Earn.

Wait. Before you rush off, do not be selfish. I have shared some really powerful information with you. If you act, you will benefit – EARN extra cash. However, you will earn more if you give this information away. By helping others to save some money, you will earn more money. This is pretty cool. Pass it on.

Share, Shop, Save & Earn More.

Signs of Economic Recovery or Not?

Mcdonough, GA - It is Thursday, June 24, 2010 and my wife, Sharon, and I decided to eat out.  Strangely enough, we do not normally eat out during the week, but we decided that since our boys were sleeping over at their friend’s house, we would use the opportunity to have a night out.  We still had Eliana to think about, but since she was at the daycare all day, we decided to bring her along and not leave her with someone.  We were set to go, but where?

As is our custom, Sharon went through several coupon flyers which we receive weekly to find the best deal available at one of our local restaurants.  She found one that offered 1 free meal with the purchase of 1 meal and 2 drinks from the “Combination Menu.”  The restaurant was La Parilla – Mexican.  Sharon loves Mexican food (I like it) and we had not eaten Mexican for some time so it was an easy decision.  However, before leaving, Sharon looked at a few other coupons and picked up one for WOW Cafe & Wingery – a restaurant only 2 miles from home.  She said she would prefer wings to Mexican, and the coupon was an offer of $5 off a $20 purchase.

So off we went.  We left the house with 2 coupons, drove to the strip mall for WOW Cafe & Wingery and discovered that it had gone out of business and some other restaurant – Ultimate Pizza now occupied the space.  Wow!  What happened to WOW?

Luckily, we still had the coupon for La Parilla and so off we went – about 5 miles away.
Ten minutes later we pulled into the parking lot and remarked how many cars were there.  We also noticed several people milling around outside as if waiting to be seated.  Sharon and I thought that was strange.  It was Thursday – not quite the end of the month or week – and therefore not necessarily a payday.  Furthermore, we are still experiencing tough economic times, so why so many people would be eating out during the week?

We went inside and sure enough, there were people everywhere, plus some waiting to be seated.  We were told that our wait would be about 15 minutes.  Sharon and I remarked that La Parilla appeared to be doing good business.  Could it mean that the economy is rebounding?  Our visit to La Parilla on a Thursday showed evidence that there are people who are weathering the economic storm, or there are people who have decided that despite tough times they would stick to certain routines like eating out when they felt like it.

It could also be that people enjoy Mexican food and particularly like what La Parilla offers.  Who knows?

Is the economy recovering?  It is hard to make a definitive statement – I think.  I have two friends who have been out of work for more than a year and currently there is no sign of hiring – no calls and no interviews.  In addition to that, while La Parilla may be doing okay, there are other restaurants that are faring badly.

As I mentioned before, WOW was gone and so was Fuddruckers right next door.  Also, we passed other restaurants that did not have as many cars in the parking lot.  After all, it was Thursday.

One bright spot I noticed in all of this is that no matter how tough times are, people are still trying their best to build something and secure their families’ futures.  WOW is gone, but now there is Ultimate Pizza where it once stood.  I wish them every bit of success!  (It pains me when a business closes its doors.)
I believe that more people are realizing that we must be creative and find ways to ensure that when the employer lets us go (I have a friend whose last day at work will be Friday, July 2nd.  His job is being shipped to India.), we have something solid to fall on.

In that light, I have found 2 such opportunities for building something solid that I want to leave with you: one is Free and the other requires an investment, but both can bring you an extra income.

If you’re looking to earn an extra income, but do not have the money to invest, try this opportunity: YourBiz.LetsServeYou.com.  You simply share the information with others and earn from every person who signs up for home services, shops or books travel.  Check it out.

On the other hand, if you want to build residual income and get paid every time someone pays a bill (cell, VOIP phone, satellite TV, identity theft protection insurance, etc.), plus earn bonuses for sharing your business with others, you may consider investing in FHTM: LetsServeYou.biz.

Inspite of what the signs are, dig deep within you.  With God’s help, coupled with what He has invested in you, you will survive all challenges and surmount all mountains.

FHTM's Simple Business Model

FHTM’s Simple Business Model

Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing (FHTM) offers a simple business model. You watch television, you listen to the radio and you surf the Internet. Therefore, you are aware that many companies spend millions of dollars to advertise their products and services. How many times in 15 minutes do you hear: “Geico - 15 minutes could save you 15% or less in car insurance”? The fact is companies set up huge advertising budgets in the hopes of getting some customers – loyal customers, who will purchase what they offer and return later for more.

This is where FHTM comes in. FHTM positions YOU as the advertiser (word-of-mouth) of well-recognized brands to your relatives, friends and their friends. YOU bring in loyal customers for cell phone service from top companies (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc.) or satellite TV from Dish Network or identity theft protection and pre-paid legal service from IdentaShield, these companies pay some of their advertising dollars to FHTM and FHTM pays you a monthly commission.

What a simple way to build residual income and create financial freedom!

Do you know someone or do you use a cell phone? Do you know someone or do you watch advanced TV? Are you or someone you know looking for high speed Internet? Do you know someone who may need identity theft insurance (everyone does!), health care discounts, roadside assistance, nutritional products, an at-home exercise program, or air and water filters?

The more loyal customers you gather for your business, the bigger your monthly commission check. Consequently, the second aspect of the FHTM’s business model is that you bring in 3 people who want to start their own business (ONLY $199!). These Independent Representatives set out to build their own businesses by gathering loyal customers. The customers of the new Reps’ (business partners) become your customers as well and very quickly you expand your “customer base.”

Do you believe that you can share this simple business model with someone else?

If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, you can do FHTM. Take it and run. Build residual income for your family. Pay off your debts. Free up more time for your family. Watch your boys play soccer. Take that long, overdue vacation!

I invite you to see all the products and services that FHTM offers at: www.LetsServeYou.biz. Call me (678-772-7077) with questions about how to start your own company.

What Are We Giving to God?

What are you giving to God? The common tendency is for us to think that God is a Giving Machine. We stretch out hands or hold them and always expect to receive goodies from above. The truth is that God is our Creator and the Father of those who have accepted the Gift of His Son, as Savior and Lord. As Creator and Father, God loves and gives us the best. In fact, in Romans 8:32 the Bible declares that God gave up the most valuable "thing" for us - His Son, Jesus Christ, and there is nothing else that He will not do for us. So, God gives the best and do we give Him anything in return?

Does God need anything from us to be God or, does He need anything from us to be complete? A resounding, "No!" Why then should we give to God and what can we give?
Let me venture to add that we can give only what is in our power to give - worship, time, talents and resources.

When I say "worship" some will immediately picture themselves in the sanctuary, lifting their hands and praising God. That is good, but it is not good enough. Worship ought to consume us and it should punctuate every aspect of our daily lives. I believe that we do not do worship, but we live worship. Our moments are spent being conscious of our Father and so we walk in reverence to Him, while reaching out in love, courtesy and compassion to all others. If we really worship, the people on the bus, in the store, at the ball game and at work will know.

Then what about our time? Is God getting the best of our time? Yes, God knows that we have children and have to work. He also knows that we are married and must devote time to our spouses. Yes, He also knows that we are involved in church work and have to attend a meeting. What He does not understand is why we do not make a greater effort to share some of our spare time with Him. "What time?" you may ask. All that time we spend doing a whole bunch of other things, some of which are unfruitful and downright unproductive. We can do better with the time we give to God - no doubt.

Should we talk about talents? How many of us have buried our talents like that fellow who received one (was really money) in one of Jesus' parables? Some of us might not have buried our talents, but God is not being honored by what He gave us. Is that you? Do you sing? Can you comfort? Do you organize well? Do you have a knack for befriending others? What is it? Let us give it God.

Finally, let us talk about giving our resources to God. We read in the Gospels of one Mary, Lazarus' sister, who, before she knew Jesus approached Him while He was having a meal at a Pharisee's house. The story goes on that Mary produced a container with a very expensive ointment and poured it on Jesus' feet while using her hair to dry them. What was the cost of the ointment? By one's estimate - a year's salary. One of Jesus' disciples remarked that the ointment should have been sold and the money used to feed the poor. Jesus rebuked Judas and told him to leave Mary alone. Furthermore, Jesus said that Mary had done a good work and her action would always be remembered. Wow!

Jesus was right as usual. Two thousand years later we are still reading about Mary. Pretty cool, right?

The point is simple: Jesus honors the gift when the best is given. Remember Cain and Abel. Our understanding is that Abel gave the best to God, while Cain did not. Abel's gift was accepted and Cain's was not.

I heard a story of the $100, $50, $20 through $1 bills. The bills had some kind of sharing time to talk about their adventures. One bill after another shared how they had been to palaces, mansions, theatres and many prestigious places around the world. When it was time for the $1 bill to share, it said that while the others had been around the world it had spent most of its time in church. Now think about that.

So what are we giving to God? He has given the best and continues to do so. Will we also step up and give Him what He deserves? That is the point. We do not give our best to God because He needs it. We give our best to God because He deserves it.

Network Marketing Lies #4

Lie #4 – We’ll build your business for you.

We’ve all seen the stuff on the net about fully automated online recruiting systems andhow you can make outrageous money while they do all the work for you.  Maybe you’ve tried a few. It certainly is an appealing idea.  Who wouldn’t want a turnkey system that does everything for them?  Well, here’s the scoop on these type of deals: Why they appeal to people (not that that’s hard to figure out)…what they can’t do for you…and what a real automated system will do for you.

If you’re like most people, as I am, you’re probably a bit skeptical when you hear absurd claims like,

“No selling or recruiting required - we build your downline for you!”  As you should be.  After all, if it was really that easy everyone would be driving a BMW right?  Really what these claims are is the lazy bum’s appeal.

“Just secure your position today and we’ll build and manage your downline for you.  There are already hundreds of people waiting to be placed underneath you, all you have to do is secure your spot! With our amazing automated system, even a couch potato like you can get rich!”

Just like every “get rich quick” scheme that’s ever come along, it’s an easy pitch to sell.  Because…People Always Want To Believe That The Road To Success, Fame And Fortune Is Quick, Easy, Painless And Risk-Free.  An appeal to laziness is a very strong appeal indeed. The promise of something for nothing is as old as time itself.

But let’s break this down a little further and reiterate a point I made at the beginning of this book.  Network marketing is unique in that it’s a business venture that’s made available and offered to an extremely large amount of people. Never before has owning your own business had such widespread appeal.  With network marketing, the average person now has viable and realistic dreams of “making it big.” 50 years ago, the road to riches was not so accessible. You had to start your own brick and mortar business with employees and all the works.  Here’s where the problem comes into play.

(The Renegade Network Marketer.com/report/)

You’re a salesperson.  All business owners are.  There are two things that every network marketer sells.   One is the products that the company provides, such as telecommunications services, nutritional products, etcetera, etcetera.  But what makes you unique is that what you’re also selling people is a business model.  You’re selling them a vehicle to achieve whatever financial goals they may have.  It’s really the first time that a business model has been sold to the public in this manner.  Thing is, the average person, who’s known the employee model their whole life, doesn’t know a lot about business. They don’t understand basic business principles.

As a “customer,” the average American is not business-savvy and does not know what to look for when selecting a home based business.  So to our instant-gratification-society, the idea of a “hands-off” system that will generate a ridiculous income with no investment of time or effort and just a little bit of money, seems like an actual possibility.  Business 101 is that somewhere along the line, a product or service must be sold to an
end consumer.  If a company says that “no selling is required on your part,” this is a dead give away they’re playing you for an idiot and you’re about to be taken to the cleaners.

Just ask yourself this one simple and obvious question:

If No Selling Or Anything Else Is Required On Your Part, Then Why Would They Need You?

The answer is:  They wouldn’t.

If you’re not contributing anything to the business besides a measly sign up fee, there would be no reason to pay you obscene amounts of money.  You have to be contributing something in order to justify getting paid.  That’s a fundamental economic truth.  There’s no such thing as something for nothing. There’s no such thing as getting filthy rich with a $99 investment and no time or elbow grease.  Here’s what you are contributing in a real legitimate MLM business to make it work: The indispensable human interaction.  This is why genuine network marketing companies do indeed need you and are willing to pay you big bucks for building a huge organization.

The key thing to understand is that…

Too Fat for the Gym!

Can you believe that a woman was told that she is "too fat for the gym?" Yes. Incredible! I know. I was watching ABC's "Hot Topics" on Saturday, June 12th when I saw the report. I thought it was a fluke at first, but I searched the Internet and found the story.

It so happened that this lady gained an unwanted amount of weight during pregnancy and after giving birth decided that she was done with this excessive weight. She joined the gym and was later told that she was too fat to use the gym's equipment. I hate to imagine how that poor lady felt.

I can imagine if this was someone who ate irresponsibly and brought this on herself, but she gained all the weight from pregnancy. Even so, the gym is the place you go to shed weight. How can you be told that you are too fat for the gym?

Thankfully, the media got wind of the story and the woman was able to cancel her contract and avoid the cancellation fees. Yes! Additionally, some other gym came to her rescue. She has been able to save some face and is now enrolled in a program to shed the undesirable weight. Great finish for her.

If you or someone you know has found him/herself in a similar situation, or if you are too self-conscious about your weight to join a gym, I have some suggestions for you:

1. If you have been turned away by one gym, contact a local television station (if in Atlanta, 11Alive News is a good one), and get them on your side to recoup any damages such as a cancellation fee. Then, try another gym. Someone else will be willing to work with you.

2. If you are too self conscious about going to gym, but you are bent on losing weight, I strongly suggest getting Nintendo's Wii Fit (now the Wii Fit Plus). You will need to get the Wii Console to begin with and then the exercise accompaniment. My wife works out with the Wii Fit and it does her wonders. Go ahead and check it out, then get your Wii Fit today.

3. You may also exercise via the computer. Yes, you can watch exercise videos on your computer and work out. There is a great program offered by FABS CyberFitness which allows you to exercise whenever you wish, guided by different videos offering different workouts. The program costs a mere $32.99 to sign up and $19.99 per month. This is a great tool that you can use in the comfort of your home. Go ahead and check it out. Visit www.LetsServeYou.biz and click on FABS to learn more and start your exercise program today.

Remember too that you can easily work out by walking around your neighborhood, but this must be consistent and frequent.

Happy work out!

Stuck for 38 Years (Pool of Bethesda)!

Can you imagine being stuck for 38 years? Whether it is fighting to provide for your family; building a loving and lasting marriage; establishing your own business; or, fulfilling God’s call on your life. Whatever area it may be, sitting in one place for 38 years is a very long time. The sick man in St. John 5 did not have to imagine being stuck for 38 years, because he experienced it.

The Bible tells us that there was a certain pool in Bethesda around which sick people gathered. They did this because an angel “troubled the water” of the pool at a certain season and whoever was first to touch the water after the “troubling,” was healed. I can see people with all kinds of sicknesses and diseases just waiting – hoping and then fighting to get in first.

When Jesus approached the Pool of Bethesda on that particular day, he met a man who had been sick for 38 years and had tried every time that the water was troubled to get in first. Unfortunately, there were people who were younger and stronger who always beat him to the punch.

What do you do when for 38 years you try to move on from that “stuck position” and you still remain stuck?

It may not be quite 38 years, but it has been a very long time. You are stuck and you know it. What do you do? You might have already given up. You might have told yourself that it makes no sense to even try again. Why bother? “Everyone else is getting ahead and I just can’t seem to move,” you have said.

Let us go back to the story (St. John 5; 1-9). Verse 7 - In response to Jesus’ question if he wanted to be healed, the man said that he had no one to help (do you feel that way?) and whenever he tried to get to the pool, someone else got in ahead of him. Yes, beaten for 38 years and he was left stuck by the Pool of Bethesda.

The key here is that even though he had been beaten 38 times, the man was still trying! Amen.

Are you still trying? The man had faith that he would get into the water first one day (The Little Engine That Could), and so he allowed his faith to keep him trying. In the end it took Jesus, acting on the man’s faith, to bring healing. It always takes Jesus, but we need to give Him something to work with – faith coupled with praise. After 38 years the sick man got up, at the words of Jesus, took up his bed and went away healed and rejoicing.

If faith remains, if there is some praise, Jesus will move on our behalf. He wants us to get up from our “stuck conditions” and move into healing and favor.

Here are some additional words of encouragement:

Praise the Lord

When you're up against a struggle
That shatters all your dreams,
And your hope has been cruelly crushed
By Satan's manifesting scheme.
And you feel the urge within you
To submit to earthly fears
Don't let the faith you're standing in, seem to disappear.

(Chorus)

Praise the Lord!
He can work with those who praise Him,
Praise the Lord!
For our God inhabits praise,
Praise the Lord!
For the chains that seem to bind you
Serve only to remind you,
For they drop powerless behind you
When you praise him.

Now Satan is a liar
And he wants to make us think,
That we are paupers
When he knows himself
We're children of the King.
So lift up the mighty shield of faith
For the battle has been won.
We know that Jesus Christ has risen,
So the work's already done!

Network Marketing Lies #3

Lie #3 – Anyone can do this!

This one is actually sort of a half-truth. A very dangerous half-truth! It can be very misleading because the simply fact of the matter is…

Not All Network Marketers Are Created Equal.

Everyone comes into this game with different advantages and disadvantages. Some people have an enormous head start on others in terms of skills, time and money, and just because they were able to build an enormously profitable business in 24 months does not guarantee the next person will be able to. The problem with statements like “Anyone can do this business!” is they imply that everyone - regardless of what their current situation is - can jump right in cold turkey and get the same results the heavy hitters got, just as fast.

Here’s an example that’s not uncommon. Jane, who holds a high paying executive position in the corporate world, decides to enter network marketing. Say she was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for XYZ Widgets Corporation in Randomcity, Texas. She’s obviously got quite a background in sales or she wouldn’t have that job. So right off the bat, she’s way ahead of the pack. She’s also already making a high six figure income as it is, which means two things…
…First, she isn’t dealing with the same kind of financial “crunch” and emotional stress that most people experience as they try to pay their monthly residual bills. And…
…Second, she has plenty of cash to fund her new business venture. Now…if you’re looking at it from a “warm” market approach (a big mistake for anyone to make, which I’ll explain later) she also has truckloads of professional contacts to work with and these people have a lot of respect for her. Safe to say that pretty much everyone Jane knows is going to take her at least somewhat seriously if she brings a new idea to them. She also has lots of professional sales contacts like herself, who also have tons of other professional sales contacts.

Let me ask you: Do you think that someone who’s a stay at home mom, secretary, college student, electrician, school teacher or bank teller is going to be able to see the same kind of results that Jane will in the same period of time? Probably not.

(TheRenegadeNetworkMarketer.com/report/)

That’s just one example – more of an old school one – but here’s something else that happens all the time in mlm: When an upline with a big organization moves from one company to another and takes their whole team with them. People on the outside looking in only see the rapid growth and big bonuses, but what they don’t see is everything that’s gone on behind the scenes. They’re not getting the whole story. Yes, that upline brought in a huge team with them and began earning big money pretty much right away…but…it took years and years before they got to the point where they were actually in a position to do that. They had to develop relationships and build a team that was loyal enough to them that they would even be willing to move with them wherever they went.

The point though is that… Everyone’s On A Different Timeline And There Are Multiple Puzzle Pieces That Come Into Play That Determine How Quickly And How Easily A Person Will Make Money.

A big one is skill level. As we discussed in Lie #2, multi level marketing is a sales business and the amount of sales skills that someone brings to the table in the beginning will have a huge impact on their success. Anyone who wants to can develop sales skills. Some will take longer than others. Obviously someone who has 14 years of sales experience has a bit of an edge on someone with zero sales background and rather poor communication skills in general. I don’t qualify people on skills because anyone who has a true desire can develop them. Instead, these are the three areas I do qualify on: Time, money and interest.

I put people through a multi-step prospecting process. I interview them to make sure they have a serious interest in building a long-term business…rather than just looking to make a quick buck. I can’t get into all the details of a good marketing system here, but know that the more steps a person takes to get information, the more qualified they are. I tell prospects that they can build this business with 8-10 hours a week, BUT – if they’re serious – they’ll need at least 15. The 8-10 hours needs to be pure action time (i.e. – income producing activities). After that you still need time for training and other “support” activities.

(TheRenegadeNetworkMarketer.com/report/)

As far as money goes, every company is different when it comes to the initial start up costs. But aside from that, you do need an ongoing monthly marketing budget. Your upline or corporate team won’t tell you this, but it’s absolutely mandatory for running
your business at full potential. Without a marketing budget, you won’t have the constant flow of fresh, qualified prospects you need.

There are two ways to get these leads for your business. You can generate them through your own advertising or you can buy them from people who do that for you. You want to strive to generate your own because the advantages of doing so are enormous, but that’s not to say buying leads from other sources doesn’t have its place. Sometimes a combination of both approaches can be highly effective. But either way…without leads, you don’t have a business.

Yes, you can start a network marketing business with very little time, money and skills. But what you start off with in the beginning will have a direct impact on how easy/difficult it will be for you and how long it takes you. That said… …I Occasionally Turn People Down. You Should Too. If someone has only 5 hours a week and $50 a month, I’ll tell them it’s honestly not worth it for them until they can free up more time and a little extra cash.
